Public Act 101-0221 amended the Illinois Human Rights Act ("IHRA") requiring: Illinois employers to provide:

Chicago Employers: Mandatory Active Bystander Training

Employees in Chicago must take an additional session: Active Bystander Intervention (included with a 50% discount). All Chicago-based employers must provide one hour of training annually for all staff, and two hours for supervisors and managerial employees, along with the ABIT.

Additionally, employers in Chicago should note that the definitions, penalties, and time to file a complaint have changed effective July 2022.
