FAQs

Compliance

How do I know what my state requires?

Twenty states do not have specific laws, but the EEOC regulations still apply. The EEOC strongly encourages all employers to have a solid program for harassment prevention which would include training, a complaint process, and a policy against harassment. Under Free Resources there is a state-by-state chart as well as links to the state fair employment or human rights agency.

Is Session B required by law?

California requires the second hour for managers. Also, the states of Connecticut, Delaware, and Maine require two full hours for ALL employees, so those states would need A + B.

Don’t some states require specific content?

New York and Illinois provide the content for Session A in those locations. California requires inclusion of several elements in the training. We have created the suite of courses to ensure consistency across multi-state operations.

How will you keep me updated on changes?

All the Sessions have been updated as of the US Supreme Court decision of June 2020 applying Title VII to gender identity and gender expression. Check out of News/Blog regularly and we will post updates on the topic of harassment prevention.

User Support

How do we know which employee has completed the test?

If you have subscribed to the Standard service offering (and have less than 50 employees) you will receive a monthly summary of all employees that have successfully completed the training. If you have the Premium service, you have 24/7 real-time access to see all employees that have taken the test and who has yet to take it (when we do the tracking for you). You also have instantaneous access to compliance reporting for your records. We store the data for 2 years -just in case you need it later on.

What if my employees have questions?

Employees can email us on the “Contact Us” function on the website. The website address is provided on the training and several times it is mentioned how to contact us with any questions. Additionally, on the certification test, there is a link to contact us with any questions. We will get back to the employee within 2 business days, or likely sooner. Any confidential issues will be referred back to the employer.

What if training is only required every few years?

We suggest subscribing every year and we have priced the service so it is cost-effective. We suggest doing the training annually even if it is only required every other year (CA) or every third year (CT). At minimum, employers should publish the policy every year in our humble opinion. You can subscribe at a lower number if you will only have to train new employees or new promotions in the off-years.

What if I go over the number I signed up for?

We will monitor your account and let you know if you go over.

How will I know when my subscription runs out?

We will advise you several months in advance.

Content

Is there a Spanish version for all locations?

Currently we have Spanish language for Session A for California only but will work on developing that option for other locations.

Is there a Healthcare version for all locations?

Yes. It is the same content as the regular state/location training, but has scenarios tailored to a healthcare environment.

How do the various versions differ?

Various states require specific topics. Session A includes content required by the state. California covers harassment and bullying, along with transgender rights. New York and Illinois trainings for Session A is provided by the state and is specific to sexual harassment. Other states such as Connecticut specify content that is included in the national version.

The second hour (Session B) is mandated by California (for managers and supervisors). Additionally, Connecticut, Delaware and Maine require two hours, so both Session A and B should be completed for ALL employees. We recommend that all managers and supervisors take Session B and that version is basically the same for all locations.

How will the information I provide be used?

We will NOT sell or share your employee information. The name and email information provided at the successful completion of the quiz is only used to email a copy of the completion certificate to you and to accurately document that you have successfully completed the training.

How long are the training records kept on the i2iWORKPLACE site?

Training records and certificates are immediately available to you for review, download, printing, etc. Records are accessible on the site for a full year after the purchase.
