Legal Requirements for 2024 Conecticut Sexual Harassment and Bullying Prevention Training
Compliance with Connecticut’s Harassment Prevention Training requirements can be confusing and time-consuming.
We’ve got you covered with a complete harassment prevention program: training, compliance reporting, and resources for upholding requirements.
Employers with 3 or more employees are required to train the staff every 3 years. Our training meets the Connecticut training requirements, along with a broad view of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and a hostile work environment. Our platform ensures that training is consistent across multi-state operations and provides consistent recordkeeping and certification for all employees.
Connecticut requires two hours of Sexual Harassment Prevention Training for ALL employees; therefore, ALL employees should take Session A and Session B. The requirement for all employees is two hours of training every three years. Training for new employees must be conducted within 6 months of employment, new promotions must be trained within 6 months. Employers must provide periodic supplemental training not less than every ten years.
The content of the training sessions includes these subjects:
Behavioral standards
Legal definitions and timelines
Practical steps to take to report harassment
Management session with how to respond to a complaint, be an effective role model and resolve employee issues
The training applies a solid instructional design methodology and is interactive. Questions can be submitted to an expert for a response within 2 business days (or sooner). Case studies and application exercises ensure comprehension.
