Welcome to the City of Berkeley Management Development Portal. From here you can access a series of courses which consist of 4 modules and a certification test.
It’s simple to get started:
First time users: Click on the top blue button at right Access the Training Portal.
At the Dashboard Login, Create an Account (small blue text in corner of Login box). Input your name, City of Berkeley email, and create a unique password of 8 characters or more.
In the Quiz Maker/i2i Portal, scroll down for the list of Available courses. Click on the green button to Enroll in the selected course.
You will get a listing of the four modules and the certification test for that course. Click on the green button to Begin a module (about 15 minutes long).
Use the NEXT button to scroll through the screens, and the triangle on the left of the video bar to start the video with voice-over narration. After the short video, you will get five quiz questions and a text box to select one idea from the training and tell how you will implement it to ensure comprehension. Your results will be emailed to you. The module quizzes are scored but not graded. You can revisit the module anytime you wish (or take notes on the Workbooks).
After four modules you are ready for the certification test. You must get 80% of the 10 test questions to pass. The training record and a link to the certificate will be emailed to you.

You can access the modules on a lap top, computer, or smart phone. So you can gain new skills on the go.
The portal includes access to six courses — Team Development, Interviewer Training/Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Performance Management, Communication, Efficiency, and Customer Service. You will learn:

Critical skills like delegation, feedback, resolving conflict

Track Your Progress Easily!
Courses are easily accessed through the i2i Workplace portal. Once you set up your account, you can enroll in courses and track your progress. You can also print out the workbooks (scroll down for the links to the documents) for taking notes or revisit courses you have completed.
Each course has four 15-minute modules. A module covers one topic and includes a short video presentation with narration, an application exercise, and a short quiz. After completion of four modules, take the test to earn a certificate of completion. Note: De-Escalation is one separate module and test (40 minutes total).
City of Berkeley managers and supervisors can complete the modules on their own schedule to ensure that they are applying the best techniques in their day-to-day management of employees, projects, and processes.
Three Ways for City of Berkeley Managers to Learn
All modules have online training, audio files, and workbooks.
Online, self-paced training - Participants can complete the training on their own schedule.
Audio files - Download the files and listen to the content, then go to the portal to complete the module quiz and exercise. After 4 modules, take the course certification test.
Workbook. Print or save the course workbook. Key concepts are included with several application questions to process the key concepts. Print out to take notes, apply the concepts to your own situation, or use as a reference later on.

Download the audios file here or go to Apple Podcasts and search “i2i Workplace”. You will still need to go to the portal and scroll through the screens to take quiz and certification test to get credit for the course.
