ADA Training Non-Compliance Risks

Companies have a responsibility to uphold the standards of the Americans with Disabilities Act. It is crucial that the organization review policies to ensure that ADA provisions are in place and to educate employees on disability awareness, how to provide reasonable accommodation, and avoid ADA violations.

Fines for non-compliance are not to be taken lightly. Federal law allows fines of up to $75,000 for the first violation and $150,000 for additional ADA violations. States and local governments may allow additional fines. Organizations may need to make changes to operations to meet the accessibility standards required by the ADA.

An EEOC review of policies, records, and interviews with staff may follow a complaint. Often the EEOC mandates ADA Awareness and Sensitivity Training, even if no errors are discovered.

Employees will learn to be more respectful and inclusive in their communications with all staff and the general public and will better understand their rights. Managers and supervisors will learn the importance of consistency in decision making, how to engage in the interactive process, and how to respond to a request for FMLA or an accommodation.

With our simple-to-use and affordable ADA training you can comply with ADA regulations and create a more positive, productive workplace.
