Times up!

The Times Up movement has been around for a few years, and time has been up for harassment prevention compliance for several months.

California had a January 1, 2021 deadline, and New York and Illinois had a December 30, 2020 deadline.  Many employers have put harassment prevention training on the back burner, understandably prioritizing other issues during the pandemic. However, it makes sense to act now to implement harassment prevention training. 

Some states mandate the training, but since 1998 the EEOC has strongly encouraged ALL employers to conduct training in order to demonstrate that they took reasonable care to prevent and respond to harassment in the workplace.  The three EEOC-recommended elements are: anti-harassment policy, a solid complaint response, and training for all employees.  We can get you ahead of the curve in establishing solid employee conflict resolution procedures and avoid legal issues.
